About Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness which is very similar to deep meditation, the client is still conscious and aware, yet oblivious to external distraction; a lot like daydreaming. 

During a hypnotherapy session you will be taken into a deep relaxation state, where your attention is focused on positive suggestions, given by the therapist.  You are always in control at all times, no one can make you do anything you do not want to do or wouldn't do under normal circumstances.  You are in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating entirely on the hypnotist voice, all that is happening is that the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is alert.

Hypnosis is used to aid healing, whether it be for phobias or to stop a habit or to revisit a past life, hypnotherapy helps to re-programme negative patterns of behaviour within the mind, which enables irrational fears, phobias and negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome.
